Dear Speaker Pelosi
Let’s cut to the chase. You and I, being relatively sophisticated people and and rather astute in the
field of politics, can both agree that this 2008 presidential election is shaping up to be a mess.
Senator McCain can be nice at times, but his fiery temper and his age clearly disqualify him from
our nation’s highest office. Senators Obama and Clinton are also decent people, but their inability
to finish off each other clearly demonstrates a lack of tactical and strategic political skills. What our
nation needs is someone strong, someone with a vision, someone who can bridge the gap that
exists in the U.S. today between Republicans and Democrats, between conservatives and liberals.
Well Speaker Pelosi, today is your lucky day. I am just the person (notice how I said “person”
instead of “man”? That shows I’m not a genderist) to lead our country out of the funk and
divisiveness in which it is currently mired. If you take a look at my positions, I’m sure you’ll have to
agree with me:

So here’s what I’m thinking. You show your love of country and what is best for it by crossing party
lines (kind of) and endorsing me. As you’re probably well aware, this could have some
implications for the Democratic party and your role in it. But more important are the implications for
our country. We need politicians who are willing to take drastic steps to get our country back on
track. I just happen to be that kind of politician. If you are as well, then your next move should is
obvious.
