Endorsement Request -Sydney Morning Herald
|

Dear Sydney Morning Herald,
Although you are not an American newspaper, I still respect your opinion and your influence (unlike
my small-minded competitors). My name is Brad Willard, I am running for President of the United
States of America.
First, let me assure you that I come in peace. I have visited your magnificent country (although,
honestly stated, Australia is a bit less magnificent than the glorious U.S. of A.) several times, and I
have walked your bridges in Sydney, dove your coral reefs in Cairns, and drank your glorious beer
in Melbourne.
I am writing to you today to seek your endorsement in our upcoming election (though you may, like
us, be sick of all the yadda yadda yadda already, our election doesn't actually occur until
November). I know Australians aren't allowed to vote in our election, but I believe that the moral (if
not outright written or verbal) support of your fine publication will indeed carry some sway over the
vast mass of humanity that we call "the American people".
I do not expect you to just blindly endorse my campaign. Of course you will want to examine my
position on the issues that face my country and our world, and I welcome your scrutiny. I invite you
and your leaders to read and consider my positions, which are clearly stated on my website:
www.willard2008.com
I believe that if you (and your readers) examine my positions with an open mind and an open heart,
you will find that I am indeed the person who is best equipped to lead America into the next stage
of global progress and development.
I anxiously await your approval and endorsement,
Brad Willard
